Gökhan Sever

Chief Scientist, Numerical Weather Prediction and High Performance Computing

Gökhan earned his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the North Carolina A&T State University in 2016. He worked 3-years as a postdoctoral researcher in the Environmental Sciences division at the DoE’s Argonne Laboratory. He did extensive work running and optimizing accelerated WRF simulations on DoE’s SUMMIT supercomputer. His research interests include flow over complex terrain, high-resolution urban weather modeling, and computational aspects of NWP models. Gökhan’s main role at the company is verifying numerics and physics components of AceCAST to provide robust and fast weather prediction capabilities.
