Meteorology Solutions Architect

Taylor Trask is a Meteorology Solutions Architect. She graduated from Plymouth State University with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a minor in Technical Mathematics. She is currently finishing her Master of Science Degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of North Dakota. Her Master’s thesis examines the potential impact of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) observations on convective initiation, thunderstorm development, along a boundary in Numerical Weather Prediction, NWP, by utilizing a Three-Dimensional Variational Data Assimilation, 3DVAR, technique in the Weather Research and Forecasting Model Data Assimilation System (WRFDAS). She has developed nudging data assimilation techniques including Analysis Nudging, Spectral Nudging, Surface Analysis Nudging, and Observational Nudging.
