Eugene P. Pache, Jr.

President and Chief Operating Officer

Gene Pache joins TempoQuest after six years as a Founder and COO of GeoMetWatch Corp, a company formed to collect advanced weather data from geostationary satellites with hyperspectral weather sounders . GeoMetWatch was the first company in the world to be granted a Remote Sensing License from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA, and the U.S. Department of Commerce, DoC, to commercialize the build, deployment, and operation of weather satellites.

Mr. Pache was instrumental in closing a $6mil Series A preferred seed round at a $40mil valuation and obtaining contract commitments in Asia exceeding $36mil for GeoMetWatch.
Mr. Pache brings over 25 years of business experience in start-ups and Fortune 500 enterprises. Mr. Pache began his business career in sales and marketing management at Raychem Corporation. Subsequently, Mr. Pache joined Nashua Corp as VP & General Manager. He subsequently joined ITT where he was responsible for new business development.

Mr. Pache is the founder of several software start-ups; including ZoeMed, Inc, Oncology Care International, Inc., and Amadeus Inc.

Mr. Pache holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD and a Master of Science in Aeronautical Systems Engineering from the Univ. of West Florida, Pensacola. He is a jet pilot, and a career carrier Naval Aviator, where he retired as a Navy Captain..

Mr. Pache lives in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife Didi.

Julie Biagini

Acting Chief Financial Officer

Julianne Biagini-Komas is Acting CFO of TempoQuest, Inc. Concurrent with this role Julie is Vice President, Finance and Human Resources of CNEX Labs, Inc., San Jose, CA. Julie is also serving as a Director on the Focus Business Bank Board of Directors, a position to which she was appointed in August 2015. Previous to CNEX Labs she was the Chief Financial Officer of Quantumscape Corporation, San Jose, CA from 2011 to 2014.  Julie’s finance career started at Endwave Corporation, a NASDAQ listed company. She joined the company in its start-up phase
as VP Finance in 1994. She took the company through its IPO and was then appointed CFO. Julie remained CFO until 2006.

Donald Berchoff

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Berchoff is an accomplished meteorologist with over 30 years of operational and executive experience within the United States Military, Federal Government, and Private Sector.  He founded TruWeather Solutions in August 2015 leveraging his comprehensive understanding of the environmental data, weather prediction, and weather service delivery value chain, from acquiring and processing observations through meeting societal or client business outcomes.  He is an industry leader in integrating weather data into business and analytic systems to reduce non-productive time and increase profit margins in weather sensitive industries and businesses.  He is a positive force for innovation within the military, intelligence, civilian and private sectors and he is known for improving business results and operational outcomes.

Victor Schnee

Chief Development Officer

A technology investments executive, has led multiple technology financing deals. Additionally, he co-managed a venture fund in the mid-’90s (a JV with Kiewit Diversified Industries); and was an advisor to investment banks Lazard Freres and ThinkEquity Partners. As a Wall Street analyst, his clients included Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Management, J.P. Morgan and others. He founded tech research firm Probe Research, Inc. A Harvard College and Harvard Law School graduate, he was with the U.S. Justice Dept., law firm, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison and a consultant at McKinsey & Co.

Daniel Abdi, PhD

Senior Software Scientist

Daniel Abdi, PhD. Is TempoQuest’s  lead software scientist.  Daniel’s expertise is in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Weather Prediction utilizing NVIDIA’s Tesla accelerators. He has spent the last three years porting the NAVY’s non- hydrostatic unified model of the atmosphere, NUMA,  to NVIDIA’s CUDA language and has achieved processing accelerations greater than 11X and as high as 15X. Daniel has expertise in utilizing multiple computer languages including CUDA, C, C++, Fortran and more. He also has expertise in multiple parallel programming architectures including CUDA,  MPI, Open MP and more.
